Helpful staff and hotel was...
Liked: Breakfast was nice, staff were very helpful and we would book again in future. Staff were very informative on places we wanted to visit

Room musty & smelly, pillows...
Liked: Location ok if you don’t mind walking to centre & £20 car park. Great Zero allergy skin products in bathroom.
Disliked: Cramped room for breakfast most options were nearly empty half an hour before the end of breakfast slot with no sign of staff refilling. I told reception (Olivia) and she shrugged & said it’s complimentary! So you’re lucky if you get some by the sound of it. Bedrooms looked clean but musty & smelly, bathroom ok & really appreciated sensitive skin products. Communal & hallway carpets filthy & worn. Hard to believe it’s a Hilton. Staff don’t care.

No frills
Liked: No frills, but clean. Relatively close to attractions.
Disliked: The breakfast cafeteria was way too small to accommodate the number of guests. Foods, silverwares, coffee ran out frequently. Definitely they need to expand the serving station.

A few hiccups on checking...
Liked: Great hotel. Friendly and efficient staff. Great location. Breakfast was lovely.
Disliked: When we tried to check n all of the systems had gone down globally. This meant we couldn’t freshen up in our room, unpack out stuff etc. when we returned at 6pm, we could get into our room prior to going out again for the evening. These things happen, however if we had stayed in our room for an extra two or three hours the following day we would have been charged for a Kate check out. A voucher towards another visit, a drink in the bar or a little treat in the room would have been much appreciated for our inconvenience, however nothing was offered.

Think twice before you book
Liked: Location.We slept well.
Disliked: Breakfast, underwhelming with a lack of options E.G no fruit or preservatives. Insufficient seating for the amount of guests.Tired fixtures and fittings around the hotel.
