Exceptional
Liked: Very responsive, able to provide a different pillow. Excellent breakfast.Convenient location

Fine for a night
Liked: Good location, good sized room. Clean and quite.
Disliked: Disabled room which wasn't ideal if you're not disabled. Reception staff cold and somewhat abrupt. Breakfast no more than ok. I'd rather pay for a good breakfast. It was an expensive room - booked before the Billy Joel cancellation. Thus, far more expensive than the current advertised rate. A hotel thinking about customer satisfaction might then have taken care to ensure a suitable room, not one designed for a wheelchair.Unfortunately, I found the experience somewhat cold and impersonal.

It was okay, not worth...
Liked: I liked the breakfast, and I thought the bed was comfortable.
Disliked: When I first entered the room I noticed some loose hairs on the towels that were meant to be fresh, sink was blocked so found it difficult to wash hands and brush teeth. There was a really bad smell from the shower drain, it worsened after we used the shower. Staff were okay, however I felt like they were acting very stuck up at breakfast, making it an uncomfortable atmosphere. They just went round cleaning tables growling and felt like they were really unapproachable.

Okay place to stay
Liked: Breakfast was good however hotel was very expensive for 3 star and no complimentary water was very poor considering the price No early check in either without a charge
Disliked: Water in the room for guests and even a piece of shortbread or a biscuit

Liked: Location to amenities all within 20 min walk
Disliked: Not value for money, £509 for a night. The room did not meet luxury expectations for that price. The room was very small, the sofa bed was made up on arrival, which made it impossible to move around the room.

SUITED US FINE !
Liked: CAR PARKING WAS ESSENTIAL AND WAS PROVIDED ALBEIT FOR £16, BREAKFAST WAS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE AND WAS VERY GOOD, LOCATION TO OUR CONCERT VENUE AND BARS AND RESTAURANTS CLOSE BY WITHIN 10 MINS WALK
Disliked: ONE LIFT OUT OF ORDER SO BIT OF WAIT BEING THE WEEKEND

Reception staff were amazing, hotel...
Liked: Well located, clean and comfortable.
Disliked: Disappointed at how high the price was - assumed due to Edinburgh Marathon (cost almost halved outside of marathon weekend - blatant exploitation). Breakfast started too late - unable to eat in hotel prior to marathon.
