suitable for what we needed...
Liked: Location for wedding
Disliked: Rooms where very warm and had a smell to one . Breakfast was warm but cold by time finished it . Could do with some money spent on it carpet , air con , better breakfast warming plates

Liked: bed were comfortable and property was clean. staff were approachable
Disliked: we were three guests, myself and my two sons, upon arrival two cups and towels were provided, this was quickly resolved upon request. The bad side was that no one came to top up the tea/ coffee making facilites, three tea bags for three people over three days is not adequate, loo rolls were not topped up, there was no toilet brush, tea cups were not cleaned replaced on a daily basis.

A great stay made better...
Liked: Hamlet hotel maidstone has a great bunch of staff from front of house to the house cleaning team we met on our way out . A happy helpful bunch that improved our stay.
Disliked: Unfortunately Hamlet Hotel Maidstone is looking a little shabby, from the old.signs outside, to the poor fitting carpet at the bottom of the stairs. This place needs a fresh pair of eyes to tidy up a few loose ends and it would be a great place to stay .

Good
Disliked: The room door was noisey when closing as was other room doors. The overhead door closer requires adjusting on many doors. I also noticed the hinges to the doors were not up to the current regulations. As a Fire Door Inspector it is something i noticed needs addressing.

Decent stay good staff good...
Liked: The staff were very pleasant and responded promptly and professionally to our request including upgrading to a family room. Shout out to Chloe who was a superstar to my wife as she exceptional good. There was good parking space which is an issue in similar hotels in London
Disliked: Facilities are dated and need upgrading. The carpet etc. You had to pay £25 to get room cleaned. I suspect they are short staffed… May be due to Reeves taxes and increase NIC contributions ??

Very good staff great
Liked: Good location if you have a car , room was perfect
Disliked: Breakfast was more suited to workmen leaving early , for guests wanting a lay in it was not really suitable.
