Lovely Independent hotel and restaurant
Liked: Lovely independent hotel & restaurant in a small village near Grimsby/ Cleethorpes( 15-20 minutes by car).plenty of local walk’s recommended .Stayed in “ Ravendale” room for 2 nights which was beautifully furnished and spacious with good quality toiletries. Staff were cheerful and helpful, making you feel welcome. Restaurant: food was very tasty and portions were plentiful. Breakfast: good choice of hot food
Disliked: Nothing really, would have liked better choice of fruit/ Greek yogurt etc for continental breakfast

Peaceful location in beautiful countryside
Liked: Lovely location. Close to Cleethorpes but just far enough away to be peaceful and secure ample on-site parking.
Disliked: Make sure you book the restaurant in advance on a Friday when their Friday Specials deals of fish and chips for two mean the restaurant is very busy.

The perfect place to spend...
Liked: On arrival, we found a friendly and informed welcome, in fact all the staff we had the pleasure to meet were very personable, efficient, took pride in their work and seemed intent on making our stay the very best experience possible. Set in pretty countryside, away from the regular hustle and bustle, the hotel and restaurant were arranged around a quiet courtyard area set out with several outdoor tables and chairs. To the front of the hotel there was a large, open car parking area. Our room was upstairs at the end of a carpeted corridor. It was well presented with traditional and attractive soft furnishings. Attention had been paid to detail with Velux windows incorporated into the sloping ceiling of the bedroom that overlooked the courtyard. A large ceiling fan was a welcome addition and we found it necessary to circulate cooler air during the particularly warm weather. The room was very clean and contained everything we needed. The kettle and hot drinks selection, including small packets of tasty biscuits, fresh milk as an alternative option to the UHT sachets, and 2 bottles of water, were much appreciated and really thoughtful touches .The modern bathroom had stylish lighting, quality ceramics and fittings, a shower and part glass screen over the deep bath, and plenty of hot water. The towels and bathrobes were all quality goods as were the branded toiletries and paper products. The restaurant was located across the courtyard with a variety of wooden tables and upholstered tub chairs. The dining area was spaciously set out and tables were laid with slate place mats, cutlery, cloth napkins and glassware. The comprehensive menu offered a selection of courses that were freshly cooked to order. The full English breakfast was piping hot, very tasty and cooked to perfection. The chef was very attentive. All in all this small but special hotel was appealing throughout, it was so tranquil and offered the most relaxing experience anyone could ask for.
Disliked: Nothing of any significance
