Lovely hotel, with good facilities and free parking. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and reception was open 24 hours. Good breakfast included too.

Liked: Clean, comfortable room, with good sized bathroom. Friendly, helpful staff and a good breakfast.

Pretty Hotel on a Pretty...

Liked: The building is very impressive and grand which was nice and it was only a 20 minute walk from where I was working. I was in room No.1 and it was small but nice, the bed was very comfy (which is very important) and I slept quite well. The telly worked well with good channel choice but the bathroom did detract a bit (see below). It was lovely to have hot chocolate amongst the hot drink ingredients. It's always nice not to need to ask Reception for an iron and board so the one in the cupboard was a great find.
Disliked: The hot water (basin and shower) was very very hot and getting the shower to a temperature that was survivable took quite a while to achieve and at the sacrifice of shower power. The breakfast was OK but it seemed as if someone had put the wrong plates out, I struggled to fit scrambled egg on a slice of toast with a sausage and some beans on to it.

Great hotel Would stay there...

Liked: Beautiful old house in a quiet cul de sac. Large rooms, well furnished. Staff always welcoming and smiling and ready to help. Breakfasts good. Situated within walking distance of Headingley Cricket Ground.
Disliked: Some aircraft noise
