Disappointed at my favorite hotel

Liked: The property is beautiful and small very intimate, with lovely landscaping and views.
Disliked: The room you get makes a big difference.I booked through booking and it said two bed hacienda queen room It ended up being in the portion of hotel that was originally dorm rooms when it was a school. We had a room in that area, which is not nice. Old not renovated no view, and a very old bathroom where the toilet barely flushed.Additionally our room wasnt ready when we went to check in at 6:00 PMWaited an hour.The front desk person had to look for the reservation in a separate area that she said they normally dont check.Breakfast buffet was 50.00 PP and not worth it.Staff was nice, and this hotel is really beautiful if you want a small boutique type feeling.Ask for the Catalina rooms

Exceptional way to experience Tucson for the first time with the mountains in background.

Liked: The landscaping was the best part of the facility. It reminded me of my families Hacienda when I was a child. Specially the libary was a bonus to drink your morning coffee and do research on what activities I wanted to do during the day. The views of the mountain range are inspiration for a piece of art. Will like to stay here again. The price during the weekend was a little pricy for me but it was worth it.
Disliked: When you travel laundry service is always a bonus. I did not find the restaurant for breakfast but did not look very hard. Complementary coffee was a great.

Ok, but not high end hotel service by any means

Liked: The restaurants have excellent food. Service in the Terrazza was very slow both times we ate there. 2 hours to get 2 courses of a meal and drinks. The property is very nice, clean. No issues with the room.
Disliked: Restaurant service and the managers lack of reaction or action to our long delays for meals.
