Perfect getaway…would definitely stay again..beautiful...

Liked: Beautiful location, staff were amazing, very helpful and welcoming as soon as we arrived until we left. Room was very clean, comfortable and I love the decor!
Disliked: Room was hot, it was a hot day but the staff were great and provided fans and in no time it did become cooler

Liked: Location was good, bed clean but squeaky mattress.
Disliked: The breakfast choice got less throughout our stay. The hot water boiler broke down, so the staff boiled a kettle for tea. There weren't any hooks, etc, to hang clothes or towels in the bathroom. The pictures on the website must be old ones, as the hotel needed some attention on the outside and gardens.

Comfortable stay

Liked: Size of room ,clean serviced every day, staff very friendly and helpful. Suitcase stand in room.
Disliked: Pool out of order not usable very disapointing, no wardrobe or chest of drawers only a small hanging area.

Liked: The reception. Car difficulties meant I had to change my plans at very short notice. The hotel staff (lead by Katherine) could not have been more helpful or accommodating

Liked: Quirky cosy communal areas, comfy bed, welcoming staff, modern shower, nice garden, views, delicious breakfast, good value.
Disliked: Outside of the building is tatty, bathroom had manky grout, room was a bit dusty, I have never stayed anywhere that charges extra for filter coffee when offering breakfast included, such a shame as the breakfast was lovely, please consider starting breakfast at 7.30 for early risers / people traveling for work.

Disliked: Vegan options were limited after I had chosen this hotel on basis of the vegan options listed on website.

Liked: Friendly welcome with a nice cup of tea. Nice comfortable room. Good breakfast

Liked: Room where clean tidy and good period features. Very comfortable beds and shower great. Could do with more blackout type curtains but not a game changer
Disliked: Breakfast was adequate but basic. Now days and especially with continental guests, items like filter coffee should be standard not an extra. Nice extras like jam and marmalade would be in line with other hotels. Breakfast staff could be a bit more customer focussed. Again with foreign guest, explaining about the buffet items and welcoming to guide guests would leave a lasting memory of the hotel as often its last interaction. Would stay again as the basics are spot on just nothing to make it stand out against others.
