The Spotlight on Grimscote Manor Hotel

A Peaceful Country Base Just Minutes From the Music

Modern comfort meets countryside charm at Grimscote Manor Hotel, a family-run escape nestled in four acres of Warwickshire greenery. Just a short drive from Birmingham’s buzzing concert venues, this stylish hideaway offers a more relaxed alternative to downtown hotels. Art Deco touches add character to the bright rooms, and the landscaped gardens—complete with bandstand and stream—make for a serene post-concert recovery spot.

Why Concert-goers love it

Guests love Grimscote Manor for its peaceful atmosphere after a night of live music. Located within a 15–20 minute drive of major venues like the NEC and Birmingham Arena, it’s close enough for convenience while far enough to escape the noise. Free parking makes late-night returns hassle-free, and the flexible check-in from 3 PM gives you time to settle in before the show. With its quiet countryside setting, it’s ideal for unwinding after the encore.

Who this Hotel is great for

Groups of friends will appreciate the spacious grounds and stylish lounge for pre or post-show hangouts.
Solo travelers chasing that dream concert will find it easy to relax here.
Couples can turn a gig into a romantic weekend getaway with garden strolls and cozy dinners.
Fans wanting a quieter post-concert recovery space will love the peaceful setting.
Budget-conscious music fans get great value with free parking and Wi-Fi included.

Food and Drink Options

The on-site restaurant serves up fresh seasonal dishes made with local ingredients—ideal for a pre-show meal or a late bite. While there’s no 24/7 room service, the relaxing bar and lounge is open for evening drinks. After a night out, enjoy a leisurely breakfast in the morning, perfect for late risers.

Nightlife Options

While it’s more of a quiet retreat than a party hotel, the bar and lounge area is a great place to decompress with a drink. If you're still in the mood to celebrate, Birmingham’s wide array of bars and clubs is just a short drive away.

What People Say

Guests rave about the welcoming staff, sparkling clean rooms, and beautiful gardens. Many reviews mention the hotel’s peaceful vibe and how easy it is to get to concerts in Birmingham without the stress of staying in the city centre. The Art Deco décor and thoughtful touches like in-room fridges also get plenty of love.

Areas for Improvement

It’s not the spot for those who want to walk to the venue or party all night—you’ll need a car or taxi to get to gigs and back. Also, while the restaurant is lovely, dining options nearby are limited if you’re looking to explore on foot.

The Bottom Line

If you’re after a relaxing, stylish stay outside the hustle of the city—but still close to all the action—Grimscote Manor Hotel hits the right note for music lovers.

Excellent gem of a find

Liked: this is a little gem The location to the motorway was perfect. The staff are exceptional, extremely friendly and helpful. We had evening meal and liv was our waitress. She was professional and made us feel like we were royalty staying there. All the staff were absolutely lovely. The menu was fab and food was excellent. The breakfast was of a high variety and was delicious. The rooms was lovely and spacious, modern looking and calming decor. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. Great walk for the dog and made to feel very welcome. Definitely recommend here as a place home from home and will definitely be returning.
Disliked: Couldn't get on to the WiFi but only there for one night so didn't bother us.

Great location for Birmingham airport

Liked: Location to the airport is great. Comfortable bed, nice shower. Check in staff are friendly.
Disliked: I paid for bed and breakfast but I would prefer to have had a cheaper option excluding breakfast, as we had to depart at 5am before breakfast was open. In fairness, the staff did offer to make us sandwiches to collect from the reception area. We also had a whirring noise in the night that disrupted my sleep, not sure what it was. If I stayed again, I would ask for a quiet room or take some earplugs.

Wonderful stay, will definitely stay...

Liked: Staff were absolutely lovely, even started breakfast 30mins early for us on a Saturday so that we could have a proper breakfast before going to an early booking at NEC. Beautiful building, gorgeously furnished and decorated. Lovely grounds, excellent location specially for NEC so we'll be booking there again.
Disliked: Only thing we didn't like was having to ask for milk to make tea/coffee in our room rather than it just being left every day. This is a very minor thing, but as a short person I could have done with a small step/box to climb into the very high bed.

Superb

Liked: The hotel was lovely, the staff were welcoming and very friendly. Our room was around the back of the hotel and was very comfortable. The facilities in the room were really good and the bathroom was great, very spacious with a fabulous shower. The choice of food in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast was excellent. Everything was cooked to order and very tasty. Our stay was very relaxed and pleasant, it was close to the NEC which is why we were visiting Coleshill.
Disliked: The only issues we had, were really minor. The TV in the room was not linked to the hotel WIFI so you could only watch Freeview. It had the capacity to be linked to the WIFI but that function was locked, this restricted your evening's viewing. Due to the excellent double glazing and insulation in the new part of the hotel, our room was warm. The sun had been shining in the room all afternoon and despite having all four windows open the room didn't cool down until much later in the night as the breeze was sadly not blowing in our direction. A fan that provided cool air to circulate in the room would have been welcome. There was a fan in the room but it was for heat only.

Superb

Liked: The hotel was nice, the rooms were clean and comfortable and quiet, and the staff were excellent great customer service and food was good breakfast excellent choice and great service from morning staff.
Disliked: Only faults are that the hotel is hard to find as the sat nav takes you to a closed hotel. And we had dinner at the hotel where we sat for over 1 hour waiting for it.I would definitely stay at the hotel again but I wouldn't use the restaurant for dinner again. That was the only let down.
