Disliked: Cleanliness unfortunately there was a lot of dust bedroom table lights dining area free standing table my wife ran her hand over the table thinking it would be cleaned unfortunately the following day still full of dust. Indian tv being played while have breakfast and under staffed first day. Service was a lot better on the second day

A wonderfully relaxing and comfortably...
Liked: Just about everything - the service and especially the cuisine are outstanding. Our cottage was very spacious and extremely comfortable.
Disliked: Nothing really - although the bathroom in our cottage needs some 'running repairs'

Liked: Beautiful place with amazing gardens. Staff are fabulous. Wonderful base to explore. Wonderful place to just relax.
Disliked: Personally, would love to be able to make a coffee/tea in my room in the morning...

The absolute best
Liked: This is an iconic hotel. No modern reincarnation could ever replace, or re-create what it provides. Opening the door, and being centimetres from the 10th tee at Muirfield is unbelievable.

fantastic getaway in a beautiful...
Liked: staff super friendly, attentive and helpful, the grounds are so well kept, the garden was beautiful for wandering, our cottage was a great size and very comfortable. our dog was looked after as well, and if you're looking for a new mascot for the property she's open to offers !
Disliked: the room could do with a bit of tlc. It was very clean (spotless in fact!), but some of the walls, curtains etc looked a bit tired and in need of a refresh.
