Good value

Liked: Clean and value for money, great location.Staff really friendly.Restaurant food excellent, good breakfast.Fan and additional electric heater provided.
Disliked: Bed was creaky and uncomfortable, didn't sleep well. Only two usable electrical sockets in the room which were by the bed. No socket by dressing table and mirror so difficult for drying hair.Very dated decor.

Convenient and relaxing.

Liked: Very good breakfast - I particularly liked the vine tomatoes, which were very tasty! Helpful staff also allowed me to leave my case there after checking out so I could explore the area unhindered by luggage (I had not travelled by car so had nowhere else to leave my luggage).
Disliked: Some of the finishes around the shower could be a bit smarter, but for the price it is very acceptable.

Liked: Absolutely the perfect location for our visit. Free car parking for the two days.
Disliked: The rooms were very tired. Definitely in need of TLC. No blinds in the room although it was directly overlooking the car park. The shower was difficult to get to a warm temperature.

Friendly typically Scottish hotel.

Liked: Hotel is in the centre of town. Has a good restaurant and very friendly staff.
Disliked: we found the bed a wee bit to small.

Superb

Liked: Great location for Eastgate Theatre.Food was really good, staff 1st class for service & friendliness, we will certainly use again. Benefit to us was a ground floor bedroom, dodgy knees!
Disliked: The only negative was the bedroom furniture needed updated but well supplied for everything else, nice to see multiple teabags etc.!!!

Don't bother booking this hotel!

Liked: It's central location.
Disliked: On arrival, we felt very unwelcome. There was no reception desk and the lady we spoke to didn't have time for us. The hotel was a maze and we had asked for our rooms to be close together. We were NOT shown to our rooms and had to find them ourselves and they weren't close together but on different floors! There was a spider in one of the beds. The hotel was tired and needed TLC.However the young lad who served breakfast was brilliant. He couldn't have been more helpful or friendly.
