Fantastic value for money and...

Liked: This is a lovely, quirky, old property with a unique history. Beautifully located in a lovely little village, but with ideal links to major roads. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are perfectly fine. With everything you may need. Breakfast was superb.
Disliked: Bathroom in my room was a little tired. Although nothing majorly wrong. Shower was brilliant.

Disliked: The food was terrible. They used frozen reheated mashed potato. The staff were sullen and disinterested. I was ill in the night.

Ok for the money

Liked: Set in a beautiful village setting. Nice pub. The room was adequate and comfortable, including the beds. couple of nice chairs, which were nice.
Disliked: The bathroom could use a bit of TLC. The cooked breakfast was terrible. Took ages to come out, 1 ash brown, 2 rashes of bacon (half raw and half burnt? Cheap sausage, 1 tiny egg and under cooked black pudding. So dry and sad looking. Even the toast was, more like dirty bread than toast, barely done, cold, hard, and served with rock-hard butter. Basically terrible and costs £.8.75. Shocking

Liked: Room is very spacious and there was a desk area and extra sofa bed in our room. Beds and bedding were very comfortable and the room was very quiet.
Disliked: Some of the bathroom fittings are in need of updating. Windows can be a little hard to open and close.

Disliked: Few issues where the bath wouldn't empty because the drain was blocked with hair.Also not happy that hotel policy had changed were they now charge £10 for my dog, where they didn't tell me till I arrived. Didn't apply when I booked 3 months ago.Have been going to the Green Dragon twice a year for the last 7 years so very disappointed.There were a few maintenance issues with the room that should have been picked up before we arrived .All reported when leaving.Overall still enjoyed for one night but was extremely annoyed regarding the charge for the dog.
