Great Wolf Lodge Chicago/Gurnee

I was not impressed with...

Liked: It is a very cool property. Everything you need under one roof. It was nice having the indoor water park as Gurnee was over 100 the day we came. It was going to be a 2 day trip to Great America. It got very hot, so it was nice to be able to have fun and not have to be out in those elements.
Disliked: It was not very clean for what it was. Expectations were definitely at a different level than reality. The staff was less than stellar, and most were rude and unhelpful (This was our experience on our visit, I do not know how staff is normally). The term “nickel and dime you to death” is a gross understatement. There is not a secure door on the bathroom. It is a nice little pocket door, but no lock or even any type of latch. Just door to frame.

Disliked: I was a really kind walk from the elevator but overall there wasn’t anything I disliked
