Liked: In the city center. Very good breakfast.Within the hotel there ware no employees - only cleaning stuff. Contact only via phone, if required. We did not need it, so - all is fine for us
Disliked: It was very noisy from the street outside - the disadvantage of the city Center

STRESSED HERE

Liked: After so many STRESSFUL phone calls, they FINALLY sent us the codes for the gate and the room key earlier than 15:00.. ( BECAUSE WE ONLY WANTED TO Leave OUR LUGGAGE IN A SAFE PLACE , BEFORE WE HEAD ON FOR A DAYTRIP TO ZAKOPANE... AS IT TURNED OUT, EVEN LUGGAGE CANT BE LEFT HERE WHEN YOU ARRIVE EARLY. So beware.
Disliked: *There are many to list but I will just write some.( We've been globetrotting for 100+ countries and have done different types of hotels and self-check ins and I have never given a 1 rating so this not-really Great POLONIA takes the cake).For this price, we expected professionalism starting from answering queries online ( because that's what it is, an online or phone basis of communication) but the phone line that's supposed to be the "recepcja" is rarely picked up, or when picked up, is being answered rudely and by kids trying to communicate in English.. In our case, when I first contacted the indicated as reception, I said , Good morning. Is this Great Polonia reception?. the answer was , " it depends ... If booking.com has negative scores than 1 as bad, this Great Polonia takes the cake for unprofessionalism.The self-check in is good ONLY if you have the email or chat or message that they are going to send , which they kept saying it will be sent only by 15:00 ( check in time) So earlier than this, you won't have the email or message from them on how to enter the building codes and the room key. So if you are a foreigner or a traveller in Krakow without a local SIM, you'll be calling and calling the receptionist with your roaming SIM; if you don't have your own internet access, you can't check your email; if you're running out of battery,you won't have access to charge your phone which in our case was .If you arrive early at the building ( which was our case ( using public transportation) and with kids, we couldn't even sit down to rest because the main glass door is also locked by codes.Therefore this Great Polonia should be updating their booking.
