Good central hotel and value...

Liked: Great location, bar and restaurant were very good. All the staff were really helpful and couldn’t do enough to help. Breakfast was good.
Disliked: The rooms and bathrooms are very tired and need a refresh.

Clean, comfortable & convenient for...

Liked: Lovely building and in a good location for my visit, not far from the train station and close to The Hexagon.I’d booked late and my room was described as ‘a suite’, it was large with a comfortable four poster bed. The room and bathroom were clean and there was tea/coffee making facilities.
Disliked: There was no-one at the reception desk on my arrival, I had to wait 5/10 minutes for someone to come.Breakfast was a little disappointing, ready made tea & supposed ‘coffee’ in urns with paper cups (consider getting a coffee machine?). There was cereal in small boxes, small pastries, toast and fruit juice. Other people were eating cooked breakfast so I guess that was available too. On weekdays breakfast is served from 6.30-8.30, OK if you’re there for business but a bit early after a night out!

Possibly the worst hotel I've...

Liked: The bar seemed okay
Disliked: The room was extremely dated, with facilities straight out of the 60s. The bathroom was dirty with what looked like vomit or worse stains at the bottom of the toilet. The bed felt like it was on an angle so your head was downhill and rock hard. Only 2 pillows were provided for a couple and they were wafer thin. Absolutely no AC at all with a window looking straight at the bed that was overlooked by another building.

Liked: We enjoyed our stay! Staff were incredibly welcoming. Location was perfect to explore the city. Hotel is quirky as well as historic, great vibes! Decent breakfast - great value for money! Would definitely stay here again.
