The grand house is located beside York Minster and was once home to King James I. The stylish bedrooms feature fine linens and antique furniture. Great location , staff very...

Liked: wonderful location .. great staff.
Disliked: The room was shabby and very tired . The pictures on the web site did not show accurately the condition of the room .

Liked: The hotel was wonderful and so were the staff . I have stayed at many hotels before but this was the best . I have to say that the young lady on reception must be fit as she carried our suitcases up two flights . The house keeping staff great to talk to and they showed some of the other rooms to us . We have booked to come back in the summer 2022 .
Disliked: I have to say i was disappointed with the breakfast . My friend likes cereal first but no choise . The cooked breakfast was ok but the sausage to heavy looking and why streaky bacon . The bread lovely and jam and marmalade excellent . Good coffee .

Amazing stay in York, perfect...

Liked: the property was beautiful, lovely surroundings, full of history, very cosy.
Disliked: I couldn?t fault the property.
