Solid option at the base...
Liked: The location of the Gravity Haus is hard to beat. It is right at the base of Steamboat mountain so there is easy access to lifts. Parking is convenient as well. The staff were friendly and helpful, and although I did not eat at the restaurant, the menu looked good.
Disliked: The hotel room that I was in has definitely seen better days. Considering its location and reputation, I expected a bit more attention to detail (e.g., the base of the bathroom door was ripped/peeling, the caulk around the shower needed to be replaced). There also was a slight sewage smell when I first entered that didn't dissipate, even after opening the window and balcony door. I would stay here again but keep my expectations lower.

Won’t stay there again.
Liked: Pretty area. Bed was comfortable.
Disliked: Parking was awful & not enough spaces for guests. Bathroom was sooo small. TV didn’t work. Let the front desk know & it was fixed when we returned from dinner. Not working again when we woke up next morning. Property kind of tired. Very expensive and told there was a parking charge.

Bring your dog and enjoy...
Liked: From the moment I was greeted by Jess, through my dinner wit JP, to my dessert and nightcap, the staff was excellent!
Disliked: The facilities are a little dated

Good
Liked: The kitchen was closed most of the time we tried to order food. The bartender and restaurant staff were rude. There also appeared to be employees of the restaurant drinking at the bar. The bartender was favoring their co workers rather than giving excellent service to the hotel guests.
Disliked: Regular restaurant hours. Don't charge for parking. Friendlier staff.

Looks Cool Online — Total...
Liked: Slopeside location.
Disliked: This property is not what it seems. It’s marketed as a hip, modern getaway for young travelers, but in reality, it’s a dated 1980s building with a cheap cosmetic makeover. The vibe they’re selling is all branding and no substance — a total gimmick. While the rooms appear modern in photos, the renovation was poorly done. The materials are cheap, the finishes feel rushed, and the walls are paper thin — it’s incredibly noisy. They even include a white noise machine in the room to try and mask how loud it is, which says a lot.One of the most frustrating parts was the parking situation. They charge $15 per night — which is ridiculous for a rural/suburban property — and even then, there’s often nowhere to park. On two occasions, I had to circle the lot multiple times before an employee told me to just park in the fire lane, assuring me I wouldn’t get towed… despite clear signage saying otherwise. Meanwhile, five spots were blocked off for luxury cars that appeared to be on display. Not only is that unprofessional, it’s just plain arrogant. They advertise co-working spaces as a key amenity, but surprise — you can’t use them unless you pay extra or become a member. Just another example of how this place is more concerned with appearances than actual guest experience. Everything feels overpriced and nickel-and-dimed, without delivering real value.Bottom line: this is a teardown disguised as a trendy boutique hotel. Instead of putting lipstick on a pig, they should have rebuilt it from the ground up. Save your money — there are far better places that are genuinely well-designed and guest-focused.
