Passable

Liked: The location was perfect! We could walk to most of the sites we wanted to see.
Disliked: The hotel only has one employee working the front desk, and most times, they were not there. Had to wait for them to return. Very helpful when they were there, though. The room was small, but it was fine for what we needed. However, the bathroom door does not latch closed. This is common in all rooms as we had other family members say the same thing. Also, the bathroom door is frosted, but not frosted enough. You need to be very close to the people you're rooming with

Liked: THE BATHROOM WAS NEWISH AND THE BED WAS COMFORTABLE.
Disliked: The decor of the room and places to store your clothes was terrible, the corridors in the hotel hadn't seem a coat of paint in many many years, and the last few steps when going from 1st floor to ground did not even have a bannister. The lift only went to the 1st and 3ed floors. if this accommodation wasn't in Edinburgh, it would be 1/10th of the very inflated price.

Liked: What an amazing location. Walk out of the hotel and you are on Victoria Street. Edinburgh is not that large of a city on that note, but it is still wonderful.
Disliked: Super zig zaggy getting to your room. lol I suppose that adds to its charm. A bit expensive, but Edinburgh is an expensive city in general. So it’s ok

Liked: location was amazing booking was fairy quick and easy room and bathroom were small but nicelike the honesty of the hotel who provided the earplugs, as the hotel was above the busy bar :)
Disliked: the hotel is a bit of maze... the lift only take you to the 1st floor and our room was on the 3rd (via stairs) - after getting out of the lift we had to go via several small coridors and doors to get to the stairs, while it wasnt problem for us as we travel with the backpaks I imagine for somone with larger suitcase that may be slightly problematic

Liked: Close to many attractions, clean and cosy

Location, value for money, friendly...

Liked: We loved how central the property is, and the friendly staff.We loved the extra touches, like the complimentary chocolate bar, (tea and coffee), etc.It was good value for money, compared to similar properties in the city area.
Disliked: The shower taps were a bit of a hassle - difficult to turn off, when one’s hands are wet.. so had to towel dry hands to rotate disc. (Also the water temperature fluctuated - one minute a hot shower, the next minute a cold shower!).One thing - which isn’t a game changer but a little tricky, in that our double bed was pushed up against the wall, which necessitates clambering over to get out!
