The Spotlight on Grandview Hotel New York

A Comfortable Queens Stay Steps From the Music

Modern and relaxed, the Grandview Hotel New York offers a convenient base in Flushing, Queens—just a short ride from some of NYC’s top concert venues. Whether you’re catching a show at Citi Field or exploring the buzz of Queens nightlife, this hotel delivers comfort and value in one of the city’s most diverse neighborhoods.

Every room comes with air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, and a private bathroom stocked with free toiletries. The 24-hour front desk makes late arrivals or post-show check-ins a breeze, and LaGuardia Airport is just 1.9 miles away—ideal if you're flying in for a gig.

Why Concert-goers love it

Location is key: the hotel is under 2 miles from both Citi Field and Arthur Ashe Stadium, making it a top pick for live music fans. With a 24-hour front desk and check-in from 2:30 PM, you’ve got flexibility for late-night arrivals. Though not in Manhattan, the quiet residential surroundings offer a welcome break after a high-energy set.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a budget-friendly base near the action
  • Solo travelers flying in to catch a favorite artist
  • Couples enjoying a weekend concert getaway
  • Fans who want to crash somewhere calm after the encore
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who prefer substance over frills

Food and Drink Options

While there’s no on-site restaurant, the hotel’s Flushing location puts you within walking distance of some of the best Asian cuisine in NYC. Late-night eats are easy to find, especially along Main Street. There’s no mention of breakfast service, so plan to grab a bite nearby after a late night out.

Nightlife Options

Though the hotel itself doesn’t offer live music or a bar, Flushing’s growing nightlife includes karaoke lounges, casual bars, and local spots where you can keep the night going. For something more low-key, nearby cafés make a great post-concert wind-down.

What People Say

Guests praise the cleanliness, friendly staff, and surprisingly quiet rooms given the urban location. Many appreciate the hotel’s proximity to LaGuardia Airport and major venues, calling it a great value for the price.

Areas for Improvement

There’s no on-site parking, which some guests find inconvenient. Others mention that the decor is basic, and the lack of an in-house restaurant or bar is a missed opportunity—but for concert-goers, it's a comfortable place to crash.

The Bottom Line

If you're heading to a show in Queens and want a clean, quiet place to recharge, the Grandview Hotel New York is a smart, affordable choice.

Consider other locations over this

Liked: Close to the bus stops, a Stop and Shop, and various food options. Free parking (but very limited).
Disliked: I understand rooms in NY/NYC are small, however the queen bed was up against a wall, forcing my partner to either climb over me or off the foot of the bed. I couldn’t use my CPAP machine at all because there was no nightstand, shelf, or safe way to do so. Couldn’t enjoy having any beverages without fear of spilling (a shelf would be useful). My side of bed, the wall light and outlets on light didn’t work at all—my partner’s side did. I’ve seen worse, but not very clean room. Our feet were black from the floors being dirty, the space between the bathroom sink and the tub was absolutely disgusting with an old shampoo container and trash sitting there. Baseboards filthy, etc. While mattress seemed to be clean from what we could tell, I’d highly recommend mattress protectors because…it’s a hotel, after all. When we needed clean sheets, my partner gave up after a couple of tries to get a fitted sheet as the cleaners didn’t seem to understand what that meant and kept giving us flat sheets. The free breakfast was very hit or miss (many times of no milk when cereal was an option), nothing exciting.I was recovering from surgery I had to come to NYC for (I’m from Southern Maine). I booked via booking.com and specified that there would be a SERVICE dog (NOT pet, not assistance/ESA) accompanying us; about 3 or 4 days into our stay, a message from the hotel popped up from booking.com stating they didn’t accept “pets or service animals.” I contacted booking.com and the representative didn’t understand US laws & was very rude, but that piece isn’t on the hotel itself; what is on the hotel is discriminating against true service animals. Someone eventually did try to change their tune and say they accepted service animals but could potentially charge a deposit or cleaning fee, which is also against the law per the ADA and NYC laws.
