A nice stay at a...

Liked: Breakfast was very nice. It was served precisely when we asked!The garden outside and the sitting area outside the lower level entrance/exit was charming. Nice little fountain, too.Sally is very friendly and helpful. She made coffee and water and tea available in the basement area where our room was. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. We liked the little homey touches!
Disliked: We had some trouble finding the entrace to the property even with mapping. We kept getting an indication that we had passed it. Finally, we spotted the address on a gate and drove in. We werent sure where to go then so we called Sally and she told us what to do.Also, the bathroom had all the amenities but it was very oddly oriented which made it a bit uncomfortable for showering if you were 6 feet tall or over!

Clean Comfortable and Cozy

Liked: This was the perfect stop off while traveling. The host Sally took care to make sure I was comfortable even when it was late and short notice. The breakfast was wonderful. I am very particular about where I stay and clean is my main requirement and it was spotless.

Exceptional

Liked: Owner was very welcoming and made us a great breakfast each morning.
Disliked: Only negative, if it bothers you, is a shared bathroom. Fortunately for us, there was no one else staying in the adjacent room so we had the bathroom to ourselves.

Liked: Breakfast choices were offered from a menu upon arrival and was cooked to order and was excellent. It was in the country among acres of pecan groves. Our hostess Sally was personable and fun. There were lots of books in the shared living area which was a nice surprise. Sally was willing to chat with us about Marshallville past and present, and anything else. We enjoyed visiting with her upstairs as well as having quiet time in our room/living area downstairs.
Disliked: I wasn't sure about sharing a bathroom with another room. The other room wasn't occupied while we were there and we had the little living area to ourselves which was great. I'm not sure how it would be to share the living area with another person or two or three. We had our own food for dinner so didn't have to drive back to the Interstate.
