Staff were terrible, the building...

Liked: The location was perfect, also the historic building was a big draw. The other Guests we met were nice too.
Disliked: On arrival the at the hotel, there was nowhere to park. The receptionist (Ryan) was not very welcoming. He would be more suited to checking people into a prison as he made guests feel like they were just a burden to him. The bed was not very comfortable and each guest was only allowed on pillow each, one bath towel and one hand towel per room. The draft coming in the window made the room very cold. The TV did not work. When this was reported Ryan said we had to switch two switches on, it turned out there was no electrical lead to it. He said maintaining staff were not available. I eventual found the lead that should connect to the TV behind a small fridge in the room. The path from the hotel to the beach and the side of the building was covered in pigeon droppings and was completely white and smelling very bad. The fire regulations on the hotel door were covered up. I feel a real health and safety breach as towels were not provided. The receptionist just said read the terms and conditions. Not even an apology was offered. This is the worst customer service I have seen. His attitude was, well if it does not work I don't care.

Titanic experience

Liked: As soon as you walk in and you look up the stairway you feel like your on the titanic, it is grand but also inexpensive and very friendly,They also earned my respect by how they respect local wildlife allowing the sea gulls to nest around there building, after all imagine the beach with no gulls it just wouldn't be the same,Then there is the breakfast, unlimited drinks toast, full English ingredients, cereal, then wash all that down with fresh yoghurt and a selection of fruit to put in it,Yes staying here was a good choice we had a great time,Thankyou
