Liked: The staff were fantastic and the facility was super nice.
Disliked: The half cabin rooms are quite small.

5 Star Funky Iconic lodge

Liked: First this isn’t a 5 star hotel,BUT It is one of the most iconic lodges in CO. Yes, the cabins are funky, sloping floors, creaky windows, totally outdated , BUT that is the charm. With 5 star views,best deck and bar around, you can’t go wrong. It’s 5 star Funky at its best
Disliked: There are a few maintenance issues but it’s all part of the charm

We had great stay but...

Liked: The view was stunning, the location was great! The hotel is beautiful. The food in the restaurant was good and the view was winsome!
Disliked: The parking adjacent to our cabin was taken by neighbor car which should be designated to each cabin. The room was very hot when we checked in at 5 pm, took very long time to cool down. We opened the windows which there were gaps between the screen and window frames, so bugs and mosquitos could get in. We told the front desk but nobody came to fix it. We had to put tissue to seal the gaps. For the money we paid, we expected better service.

Liked: Great location with beautiful view and the pool area was very nice.
Disliked: Extremely small cabin, had to turn sideways to get between the bed and small dresser to the bathroom door. The shower stall was so small we could barely fit inside, and we are not large people.

Excellent experience

The property itself was fabulous....

Liked: Beautiful location! Great front porch facing the water with rockers and swings. Great pool area with loungers and towels. Jacuzzi. Nice lounge area with couches and firepit. The inside of the lodge was very cozy!
Disliked: The 1/2 cabins were small. Shower was small. It was a very warm day and the room was very warm. Luckily it did cool down at night. There was a fan which was helpful. The dining area was nice with a fabulous view. The food was just ok for dinner and breakfast was very limited. The coffee was terrible!!
