Liked: Well equipped kitchenette, ideal location, helpful manager.
Disliked: Reason for booking was indoor pool, which turned out to be open to the elements and therefore too cold to use. No onsite breakfast facility.

traditional, old school hotel which...

Liked: fabulous, friendly and genuine staff. great size rooms with king beds, in a fabulous old building with old fashioned high ceilings.personal touches - handwritten notes, fresh flowers, little treats aimed to please and the music as you enter reminds you of the grandeur of the building
Disliked: coming from the country, the train noise was something new.

Liked: Close walk from Spencer station, close to tram stops for St Kilda, Rod Laver Arena, MCG, Into CBD , large rooms, very clean and quiet, pool and gym, helpful staff
Disliked: Can hear trains, but it's not a bad sound

Liked: Location was fantastic. Staff was lovely. Free upgrade and the room was amazing! Our new favourite hotel in Melbourne and we will be back!
