Liked: THis is the third time I've stayed at the Grand, and as before it was excellent. The staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room adequate and comfortable. Breakfast O.K. I certinly hope to return next year.

Small rooms and no air...

Liked: The hotel is very close to the station which made moving around with luggage easier. The staff were pleasant.
Disliked: The rooms were very small especially the bathroom and with no air conditioning it was uncomfortable trying to sleep. Very little space for our luggage.

Good

Liked: Design, stuff very nice. Position perfect for the city center of Lille and 4 min walk from the train station. A bit expensive for 1 night, but ok as there was the concert of Ed Sheeran and la Fêté de la musique.
Disliked: Missing the air conditioner in the room, but it was precise in the reservation.

I would definitely stay here...

Disliked: We reserved the superior double room which was listed at 161 sq feet. We received a room that was barely 120 sq feet and matched the size of the standard double room. This room was so small that you could barely walk around the bed. It was a very uncomfortable room for 2 adults. We asked at the front desk and were told that our room was a superior double room because we had a coffee pot. I wanted a larger room for comfort and didn’t need a coffee pot. I feel a refund is due for the price difference between the 2 rooms. They would not give us the room we orderedThis hotel is very basic, the elevators stop between floors and you have to drag your bags up a flight of stairs. Breakfast very basic, no hot choices. Really overpriced for what you get. Not worth $200 Euros.
