Great value and fantastic service....

Liked: Fantastic service and location. Close to everything including train station. Good renovation taste and amazing view of the restaurant where you can see Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore directly from the roof.
Disliked: Door is not very soundproof. The noise of hallway may wake you up during the night.

Liked: Great location, great breakfast with great staff. Certainly my go to place for any visits to Florence in the future.
Disliked: Slightly noisy in the evening.

Gorgeous historic hotel with loads...

Liked: Breakfast was great with views of the Duomo from the rooftop restaurant. Lots of variety plus mimosas! It was organized and comfortable with a selection of American, English and European breakfast options buffet-style.
Disliked: The room temperature was locked below 18 degrees celsius so it got very stuffy for us. We opened the window everyday and just before bed each night to cool the room down. This stay was in April and the outdoor temps were only around mid-sixties so this might be a big problem for some in the summer months. Also the hair dryer was not a friend to my hair and the provided shampoo/conditioner though plentiful was not great quality.
