I believe the quality and...

Liked: Breakfast was fair but I expected better from this hotel.The staff were EXCELLENT! Friendly, very helpful.
Disliked: The shower wall in our room was full of black hair and the floor was sticky. Also there were only 2 towels provided in each of our 2 rooms which were booked for 3 people each.The water park is beginning to look run down and only about half of the large water feature worked.

If we come to Dubuque...

Liked: Excellent location. Friendly and helpful staff (house cleaners and desk workers included). VERY comfortable beds. Breakfast was very good. Overall, we loved it here and would stay again.
Disliked: The toilets were very low. We are older folks and my wife had a little trouble getting up. That's the only negative I can think of.

This was like staying at...

Disliked: Dirty, no hot water, both faucets leaked, ironing board broken. Room dirty, needs painting, scuff marks on the wall, shower very dirty!

The hotel was great but...

Liked: It was right on the river and we had a wonderful view from our room
Disliked: It was filled with kids running up and down the halls screaming.

The stay was great and...

Liked: The kids love the water park! The staff is very friendly , the snack hut is reasonably priced and The bathroom is clean from the showers to the stalls. The scenery is great with the river walk out back and the art collection on display. The free continental breakfast comes in handy in the mornings when you just want to be able to grab a bite and start your day without leaving .

Overpriced, Convenient, and Disappointing

Liked: Good location near a lot of restaurants and a lot of parking
Disliked: This hotel is likely one of the closest options to the Field of Dreams, a popular location for baseball tournaments. Given that, I was surprised by the lack of facilities to accommodate families traveling with coolers. There are probably around 200 rooms in total, and on the first day, only about 50 or 60 families seemed to be in town for the tournament—yet all the ice machines had already run out. That meant families with coolers were out of luck for days two, three, and four.Breakfast was very basic all three days, and unfortunately, the quality and taste left much to be desired. For the price we paid, I expected a better overall experience, including more thoughtful amenities and higher-quality food.As for the waterpark, it has definitely seen better days. In terms of age appropriateness, I’d say kids over 10 would likely find it boring. It includes just one big waterslide, a decently sized indoor playground area, and a small toddler splash zone. What surprised me most was the lack of food availability—there were no food options offered during our stay, yet the staff was very strict about not allowing outside food. It didn’t make sense to restrict guests from bringing their own food when the hotel had nothing to offer.
