Very beautiful and a little...

Liked: Very comfortable bed! Overall good customer service all around.
Disliked: Room small. Access to my room was removed before checkout time and had to go up and down multiple times until the room key worked

Disliked: The staff was very helpful. The valet attendants were extremely helpful

Dreamy, Classy Getaway

Liked: What wasn’t there to love?! Beautiful, historic hotel with wonderful friendly staff AND a private beach but near all the fun stuff Galveston has to offer

Great one night stay with...

Liked: Very classy, rooms fresh and redone. The entire place smells amazing! Just very elegant and loved the pool vibe and beach club. Like the historical turn of century classic elegance!
Disliked: Front desk was not very friendly. Every time I asked them for something I wasn’t able to do whatever for whatever reason. I am a Marriott Bonvoy member but they don’t honor any membership perks (free late checkout, room upgrades, etc) because I used booking.com. Tipped valet when they pulled around car but they sat there and let us put our our luggage in ourselves. No offer to help. Pool service was amazing tho and bartender was fine. Front desk and valet a little disappointing.

Wonderful Grand Hotel, the way...

Liked: I have no words. I can only give 10 stars, this Hotel is a DREAM. Even if you try to find something that maybe wasn't good or less than perfect, There is nothing. A wonderful restored old Grand Hotel. They still know what service is. wonderful Lobby, great chandeliers, tasty Breakfast. Clean Room. Fast Valet Service, (Thank you John for the Tips in Town) We had a 3 Day stay.Some parts of 1923 a Yellowstone Story where filmed there. The old original Post Office , Ballroom etc. BUT do not think its Museum like, kind of old dusty and "Historic" everything is in a shape you can describe as "better than new" .
Disliked: One thing. When you arrive you get all the info you need (verbal) from the Desk employees. Since we some times have problem to understand everything (English is not our first language) we miss the last day Breakfast. It was a Sunday. on Sundays the BF is just until 9 because later at 11 there is Brunch.We had to travel , so that days we missed this.

Liked: I've always enjoyed this historic hotel.
Disliked: The hotel now charges "facility fees" which the front desk attendant called "resort fees.". According to a law passed in May, hidden resort fees are illegal.
