Sara Sun, 5 May 2024

Disappointing

Liked: The beds were comfortable and the room was big enough.
Disliked: The bathroom was in terrible condition, the shower was leaking and spraying the whole bathroom, there was hair and trash in the drain. The towels were stained with lipstick. The whole place looks a bit outdated.

Overall is good

Liked: We had dinner there in a restaurant associated with the hotel. The location is good.
Disliked: Wait up the noise of operating trash bins from either gas station or general store. Would suggest move them away from hotel rooms to provide a quieter environment.

It was decent. We were...

Liked: Location was good.
Disliked: Two of the three outlets only worked when the light was on. I did not realize this until the morning we checked out. So, four people trying to charge their phones/watch was difficult. Also, the toilet seat lid was off centered, which was unpleasant.

Not worth it, waste of...

Liked: No,I don’t like anything.
Disliked: The room is very dirty. Many things in the room were damaged and couldn't be used, such as the shower, the lamp didn't turn on, the blanket was smelly. I stayed 2 nights and there was no housekeeper to clean it. The room was also full of small spiders, very bad.

Disappointing stay but helpful staff

Liked: The staff I met tried their hardest to help
Disliked: Honestly, this was one of the most disappointing places I've ever stayed, especially for the price. I even checked out a day early. I was placed in a motel across the road. The first room I had was tiny with the sink in the same room, and a separate toilet and tiny tiny shower. There was no hot water, and then the hot water wouldn't stop because the tap was stuck. The lighting is so poor - it was like being sent back to a log cabin in the 1840s.They kindly moved me to an upgraded and bigger room because of the water situation, but even though it was slightly better, the shower was still very pre-1900.Even though it was quiet and the location actually pretty good, it felt so disconnected. Probably not helped by the fact the main reception is across the road. They really need to fix the plumbing and also the lighting. I would only stay as an (expensive) slight upgrade from camping under a tent.

Disappointed and not worth it.

Liked: The location was ok for our needs for proximity to the South Rim. The bar was nice.. the staff there were very nice and professional.
Disliked: The room in the bunkhouse. The room was so small the bed had only about 8 in. on each side. No where to put luggage. No closet, no dresser and no refrigerator, etc. ( which is what was expected and paid for). the shower was very small, the shower head was at my chin level, I’m 5’9”. I don’t recommend if staying at the bunkhouse.
