Grand Beach Hotel

It was lovely to experience...

Liked: It was a great location. It had all the amenities we love. The private beach was great!
Disliked: The rooms weren’t very clean. Hair from the people before in the showers. And stain on the sheets. Other than that, it was a great stay. Also, the front desk men weren’t very nice and gave us an attitude at check in and check out. Seemed like we bothered them when we asked questions. Overall, we didn’t let that bother us. It was a great trip and stay

After 13 years of visiting...

Liked: Convince to get at the beach. Kids friendly pools.
Disliked: Floors in the apartment were not cleaned at all.! No shampoo was left by the cleaning staff. No clean towels was left at all, and we had to call housekeeping every day for towels. Overall I was not happy with their housekeeping!

We loved our overall experience!

Liked: Gorgeous hotel! Love the design, the pools, the views!!! Perfect!
Disliked: There was a language barrier at the restaurant, asked if coffee included, said yes, then at the front desk saw I was charged and they didn’t want to do anything about it… weird situation… even manager didn’t do anything about it… cappuccino was good, but the coffee to go was terrible!

Disliked: Bar was barely open closed at 10:00 pm Thats a jokeGift shop was closed most of the timeShower was terrible TV was terrible Almost zero choices

It was a good view...

Liked: The view from our room.
Disliked: The staff was rude and not helpful.The room took forever to be ready and once we got In the room we had no towels or anything. When we asked for some towels they limited us to three. We had no hand towels or anything.

The worst vacation experience

Liked: The beach
Disliked: The rooms were old and needed updates. Refrigerator didn’t work. Lack of towels, sheets, basic needs for the rooms. The bathroom sink was broken, No lights on bathroom ( burned out bulbs) and poor water pressure. The AC on the hallways were freezing. The staff was unhelpful and seemed overwhelmed. Many guests complaining for the same reason. Tried to speak to the manager few times and no success. No manager on site. The valet was quick and the bellman was nice. The beach service was horrible and took forever to get 3 appetizers ready. Like 1 hr and 30 mints. The breakfast served in the main restaurant was good and service was very good.

Nice place, pool was fun...

Liked: The pools were nice and the temperature of the pools were perfect. The property is next to the boardwalk but not near a variety of restaurants, must travel. The hotel does have a restaurant and cafe onsite. The room was spacious enough for 3 people. The beach was convenient and chairs available mid morning but afternoon they were all occupied.
Disliked: We had trouble with our air conditioner, it took 4 days to fix on our 5 day stay. They had maintenance come up to fix every time we complained it was not working but only the last time did they come with a tool bag. When we arrived we had to ask for towels for the room, a light bulb, and a battery for the remote. They were prompt at getting these for the room so not an inconvenience.

Liked: I liked the big rooms, the two bathrooms and the balcony
Disliked: Late check in, concierge wasn’t very welcoming at all. We had no towels and we didn’t get any until the last day of our stay. We were 3 couples and one of our couples had an encounter with the cleaning lady. She didn’t want them to go into their room while cleaning and was standing in their way. She ended up leaving and not cleaning the room. One of the rooms had really low running water. When we called we completely were turned down. The rooms were filthy. There was hair all over the sink, super dirty floors and blood stains in the pillow cases. The hotel was old and not updated. The pools were small and full of kids. The beach area the service was super slow and the waiters took forever with orders water and no sense interest or alertness in general. They loved the tips though. This didn’t not have hotel exceptions it felt more like residence type of building. Our room did not have slippers, robes and a case. The coffee machine was filthy so we ended up never having coffee. The shampoo was literally from the dollar store and did not wash for nothing. Had to go buy my own. Food was ok some stuff for the most part tried to be nice. There was nothing special happening at tbe hotel. Nothing exciting or something that they offered. Definitely not worth the money and stay. We will not be staying here it was one and done type of thing.
