Great location, disappointing

Liked: Great location, right on the beach, lovely views.
Disliked: Staff not really interested. Did not pick up iguana poo around the pool after telling them about it. Pool & beach towels not very clean, a few stains. Poo on the floor in pool side disabled toilet, no soap in the dispenser. Air conditioning in the room was so loud, had to wear ear plugs. Room wasn’t cleaned by 5pm and we had to request a clean yet the hotel not full. 5 people doing 1 persons job handing out towels on the beach, big pile of trash in the middle of them all while they hang out and chat. Only 2 out of 3 lifts work, sparodically. This is the 4th hotel we have stayed in during our Florida trip. The most expensive yet not as good as the others.

The stay was peaceful but...

Liked: The staff were not intruding and left people alone to get on with our business.
Disliked: Charge to my Bank Card:I checked out of the Grand Beach Hotel at about past 9am on Tuesday the 27th and the hotel checkout staff confirmed that there were no additional charges to my account and released the hold on my bank card. So I was quite shocked when i checked my account this morning, to see that the Grand Beach Hotel had charged £27.45. Could you kindly ask the hotel what this charge relates to and get me a refund please? I was very careful never to have used anything in the hotel room
