Very disappointing

Liked: The location was good.
Disliked: It was very disjointed when you speak with their staff. Fire alarm went off both of the nights at 2am. We were travelling with 7 months old baby and it was a disaster. Apparently the solution was to open a window as aircon was not working well. It was fairly cold and having open window with a small baby is not a solution we were looking for. The sink has been blocked and was not looked at after we asked for the service twice. So the whole stay we were without a bathroom sink (no way to wash baby bottles or even brush the teeth).

Beautiful place, but very impractical.

Liked: The hotel has beautiful aesthetics and is in a great location. The restaurant also had good food, and staff throughout the hotel were both lovely, and helpful.
Disliked: I booked the room expecting a desk as per the photos but there wasn't. There wasn't even a chair. This was annoying as I chose the hotel specifically to study in for a specialist lecture I was attending.I appreciate the room I was given was probably technically an upgrade, but I didn't ask for this. It felt strange having 2 double beds in the room when staying by myself, and being rainy the balcony obviously wasn't going to get used.In addition, the bathroom magnifying mirror could not be tilted to the light. Neither was there anywhere with bright light/daylight near a mirror for applying make-up. I also was freezing! All in all, the hotel was beautiful but not very practical. As you will see from my long booking history with booking.com, this is the first time I've ever rated a hotel down which I feel bad about. However, the hotel I'm staying in now in Cambridge (at less than half the price), is actually far more comfortable.

Disliked: The unexpected charge for the oversight car park. Should have been included in the charge of the room.

lovely comfy hotel

Liked: the breakfast was lovely and the rooms were spacious and comfy with a great view.
Disliked: the staff on reception were dismissive, all other staff were friendly and helpful.
