Liked: The location
Disliked: My opinion of the Graduate Hotel is quite negative. I was with my family for 3 days. The first day they didn't clean our room, and in the afternoon when we returned we told reception and they only changed our towels. The bathroom is in a closet, it can’t fit more than one person. The hotel lobby is a corridor that is always full of people, it looks like the subway, and there is never a place to sit. In short, it is a very expensive hotel for what it offers. I will never return to the Graduate Hotel and I do not recommend it at all.

Liked: Great location and a beautiful Hotel. I loved how well-appointed the room was and all of the amenities as well as all of the U of Michigan decor.
Disliked: With a couple of exceptions, most of the staff had an abrasive, impatient attitude as if they were all trying to prove a point. Ordering a coffee at the very lovely coffee shop was almost insulting. The barista was rude and made you feel like he was doing you a favor and that you were lucky to be getting a coffee at all.

Unfortunate
Liked: Location
Disliked: No coffee maker in the rooms- only water kettle with instant coffee that is not good. No tea. Bathroom door is 2 unusual doors that close in the middle with a gapping space between of approximately the 1/4inch. When I arrived early I was told that the rooms would be cleaned close to 11am - and could have a room once cleaned. I asked at 12 and 1 and they said no not ready- hopefully soon. I explained that they should have been transparent about the expected time- otherwise I would have gone out and not waited for the room to be clean. The room wasn’t ready until 3pm. When I explained this to the front desk, she just kept saying “check in is at 4”. I explained I understand that but she had implied the room would be ready at 11. Setting expectations is everything. Incredibly disappointed.
