A really good stay with excellent staff.

Liked: Breakfast on the patio was very good. Very Good food overall. The hotel's layout and decoration along with the excellent staff generated a good ambience.
Disliked: The bathroom was too small with no shelving or storage space. Also bedside lighting was too dim - difficult to read at night. We booked dinner in the hotel on one evening but because of an external function were pl;aced in the conservatory, which was soulless with only one other couple. If we had been told we would not be in the main dining room, we would not have eaten in the hotel but gone out.

Liked: The Beverage Manager was the loveliest lady we have ever encountered at any hotel EVER... The roof top bar is great but the bartender in the main dining is a very fine mixologist. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the location makes it the best spot in Newport...
