GOVERNORS INN HOTEL SACRAMENTO

The location was not that great. The view outside of my window was the McDonalds drive thru. :(. But the staff was very pleasant.

Liked: The rooms and hallways were nice and clean.
Disliked: The landscape maintenance crew was very loud and too early in the morning and was unable to sleep.

Liked: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable, and I appreciated that the air conditioner was able to cool the room appropriately. The hotel is conveniently located to a variety of local sites.

Liked: Clean, nice facility
Disliked: We weren’t told until several days after booking that the airport shuttle didn’t start until 6:30am. Since we had a 7am flight, that was useless for us. There was no hot water for showers in the morning. They were having trouble with their boiler they said. There is also a very noisy McDonald’s drive-through window right next door open all night. No breakfast is available if you leave early, not even something to grab.

Liked: Great bang for your buck. Nice hotel that included breakfast with waffles and a shuttle service to a nearby station. Very friendly staff.

Staff were nice and fast...

Liked: Breakfast included was a nice touch to the stay. Staff super friendly and location right off the highway making it nice for travelers.
Disliked: Hair on every single pillow- all eight pillows. Hair on the sheets. Brown spotted towels. Mold in bathroom above shower. Room was very stuffy to the point I got a headache. Smelled like the carpet was shampooed and not aired out.

Nice hotel, great location and...

Liked: Property is right off the freeway, super close to downtown. Lots of places to eat and shop, just minutes away. Spacious and clean room. The breakfast was delicious, the staff was excellent. The pool was clean and a perfect temperature.
Disliked: The beds were a little too firm for my taste
