Medina, Pittsburg,CA

The location was not that great. The view outside of my window was the McDonalds drive thru. :(. But the staff was very pleasant.

Liked: The rooms and hallways were nice and clean.
Disliked: The landscape maintenance crew was very loud and too early in the morning and was unable to sleep.

For the price and location...

Liked: The location was perfect for me since I had a medical procedure done at the hospital. The price was far less than I could have paid at the 2 motels on the hospital campus. This motel is not a franchise. It was better than the Hyatt I stayed at the night before! I had better customer service, quality carpeting in the room, the bathroom fixtures were quality made. The Hyatt had newer fixtures but they felt cheap and the faucet was coming out of the fitting. The bed was comfortable. The room was large. The breakfast was much better than the Hyatt. The continental breakfast is much more than pastries. They have freshly boiled eggs, yogurt, a variety of dairy and non dairy creamer, fresh waffles that the hostess makes for you, fruit, cereals, oatmeal, and pastries. Juices and coffee! It's quite and comfortable. Yes, the homeless are present but much less than near the hospital campus. I will continue to come back here! I enjoyed my stay immensely.

Liked: Breakfast was good, several options. It would have been great to have some hot scrambled eggs and hash or cottage potatoes.

A stressful, disappointing stay with...

Liked: The room itself was relatively quiet.
Disliked: Customer service was honestly the worst part of my experience. The front desk staff was very rude—don’t expect any smiles when checking in or out. They also lied to pressure me into booking. Before making the reservation, I called to ask if I could check in early, and someone told me it was totally fine since rooms were available. However, when I arrived, a different staff member named Maira told me I had to pay $40 to check in early.I explained that I had already been told otherwise, but she was dismissive and extremely rude. Instead of handling the situation professionally, Maira told me, “If you don’t like it, you can go find another hotel.” She then called security to remove me from the hotel. I admit I was frustrated, but as a customer service representative, especially at the front desk—she should have been more polite and respectful. Unfortunately, she was not.It wasn’t all about the money. I would’ve been fine with the fee if they had just been honest from the beginning. As a customer, I deserved to be told the full details upfront before booking—not misled and treated poorly upon arrival. These people honestly deserve to work where they are. If this were a five-star hotel, you would never encounter front desk staff treating guests with such disrespect. It was a completely unprofessional experience. In the end, I paid the $40 because I was exhausted from a long road trip, and my family needed rest—I had no other option. To make things worse, there are several shelters located right behind the hotel, which added to the overall discomfort and safety concerns. This was by far the worst experience I’ve had in Sacramento. I strongly advise others to think twice before booking here.

Overall stay was good then...

Liked: Not far from activities and the freeway
Disliked: The homeless causing a ton of noise at 3am waking people up. Blaring their car horn for an hour straight on and off.

A good choice this time

Liked: Good directions from the front desk. It was located so that I could easily get to an early appointment in very light traffic.
Disliked: The location wouldn't have appealing for a woman alone with an unhoused folks closeby.
