The Spotlight on Good Nite Inn Redwood City

Easy Bay Area Base for Concert Adventures

Modern, practical, and wallet-friendly, Good Nite Inn Redwood City offers a convenient stay right off Highway 101 — ideal for those catching concerts in both San Francisco and San Jose. With clean, spacious rooms, free WiFi, and complimentary morning coffee or tea, it’s a no-fuss launchpad for your music-fueled weekend.
Located near tech giants like Google and Microsoft, this 100% non-smoking hotel also puts you close to Stanford University and Menlo College, making it a great all-around choice for event-goers and weekenders alike.

Why Concert-goers love it

This spot’s biggest win? Its central location between San Francisco and San Jose, meaning you can easily hit a show in either city without switching hotels. Free on-site parking makes it easy if you're driving in for a gig. While the vibe is mellow and quiet — great for post-show winding down — you're still within reach of late-night eats and rideshares. The 3:00 PM check-in lets you settle in before heading out, and check-out at 11:00 AM gives you enough time to recover after a late night.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a budget base
  • Solo travelers catching that once-in-a-lifetime show
  • Couples making a weekend of it without the downtown price tag
  • Fans who prefer a quiet space post-concert
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who want value and convenience

Food and Drink Options

While there’s no on-site restaurant, complimentary morning coffee or tea in the lobby helps you ease into the day. With Redwood City’s growing foodie scene just a short drive away, you’ll find plenty of walkable and late-night dining options nearby. Grab a bite before the show or a snack after without hassle.

Nightlife Options

This hotel keeps things low-key, but you’re just minutes from downtown Redwood City’s bars, lounges, and late-night spots. Whether you’re after a pre-show cocktail or a post-gig wind-down, there’s something nearby. And for those nights where you want to stay in, the quiet atmosphere is perfect for taking it easy.

What People Say

Reviewers love the cleanliness of the rooms, the easy parking, and the hotel’s convenient location for Bay Area adventures. Many note that it's an ideal pick for those who want to avoid the high downtown prices without sacrificing comfort. The pet-friendly policy is a big plus for travelers bringing furry companions.

Areas for Improvement

If you're looking for luxury amenities or a buzzing social scene, this might not be your spot. There’s no on-site restaurant or bar, and décor is more functional than fancy — but for a clean place to crash after a long night of music, it gets the job done.

The Bottom Line

For concert-goers who want a simple, affordable, and well-located stay between San Francisco and San Jose, Good Nite Inn Redwood City hits all the right notes.

value option for the area,...

Liked: the good- price is pretty good for the area- location is central and close to sfo as well as redwood city downtown- free parking is a plus
Disliked: the not so good- the soundproofing at least for my room specifically was not good. highway 101 is literally 20 meters from the room, and the cars whizzing by throughout the night made it very hard to sleep through. possibly not an issue if your window isn't facing the highway.- main entryway card readers were very bad. i kept thinking my key card had demagnetized only to find out that it works for the room door but not for the main doors.- also the front desk is locked after hours (only bank teller style interaction to check in). needed to use the restroom but had to queue for check in which was annoying.

Good stay for the value

Liked: Very spacious rooms, and comfortable beds
Disliked: You need to use hotel keys from one place to other, especially room to reception. There could be cleaning service every day, only they have given clean towels and change the bin.

It was okay, would rate...

Liked: It was close to the freeway with a few restaurants nearby also. We stayed for two nights and the staff brought us new towels and took our trash out while we were out. The curtains were actually heavy enough to block out the daylight. Price was also affordable.
Disliked: The young man who checked us in during the evening was kind of rude. He avoided speaking to us, did not provide any information or details. We were also not able to locate an elevator or signs leading to one and we had to bring our heavy luggage upstairs. Upon entering the room there was a strange loud zooming noise that lasted for about an hour. The parking lot is also dark, could use a bit more lighting. The headboard on the bed was noisy, every time you flip over while you're sleeping be prepared to hear the headboard moving with you.
