Love this place and will...

Liked: The property is a magnificent stately home. My favourite place of all are the Kitchen garden and the view from the property. The staffs are very welcoming and the whole place is so quiet. There is a nice walk around the property too.
Disliked: If there are more facilities like gym & spa, that would be perfect.

Passable

Liked: Gardens and outside of building were lovely. Good breakfast.
Disliked: The bedroom was quite small and the beds and pillows were so uncomfortable, soft and creaky, that neither of us got much sleep. In all the public rooms there were vases full of fabric flowers (dusty and faded) which were not what we expected in a 5 star hotel. In other establishments we have always had fresh flowers and considering the Gardens were lovely its a shame that didn't extend to inside the house. Lack of staff visible in hotel although the ones we did see were pleasant. We didn't find it a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere in the hotel. We thought it strange that you couldn't get food in the hotel on a Monday or Tuesday in high season. All in all we will not be returning to stay again.

We were very disappointed and...

Liked: Stunning property.
Disliked: We woken up by two members sitting in the garden outside our bedroom chatting loudly after midnight. This went on for a very long time until my husband had to ask them both to be quiet. We had dined at the hotel in the evening. Service was extremely slow, so much so that we gave up on having a dessert and went to bed.
