Liked: The room and the staff are top notch. Owner very friendly. Breakfast was outstanding.
Disliked: The parking, restaurant patrons get preferred parking over the residents staying in the suites. Need to have parking for residents while staying there. My wife and I had to walk in a pouring rain storm to get to our room while people at the restaurant were given preferential treatment. Other than what is listed above place was great.

Liked: Breakfast had no Splenda, arrived 30 minutes late, and was luke warm.
Disliked: Would have liked a more knowledgeable and attentive person at check in desk. On time, hot breakfast would have been great.

Liked: Grounds and outdoor appearance were beautiful. The food in the dining room was delicious and breakfast served to the room was a nice touch. Staff was courteous.
Disliked: Our room was called The Veranda suite and was advertised as having a Mississippi River view. There was no veranda per se and the river was so far out the view was mainly grass. The room itself is spacious but tired. Could use a Keurig and a true honor bar with soda. Could not manage to get ice for soda and the soda down in the lobby was limited and Luke warm. Pillows and bath towels need to be replaced. There is no help with your luggage and my almost 70 year old husband struggled a bit dragging ours up the flight of stairs to our room.

Liked: The staff was very friendly. The breakfast each morning was very good. Goldmoor Inn provides electric vehicle charging for guests. The English Cottage was very clean and comfortable. Goldmoor Inn is about 15 minutes from downtown Galena.
Disliked: The grounds of the property by the EV chargers could use a little more light at night.

Liked: Absolutely beautiful accommodations. The staff were amazing. Courteous, friendly and genuine. Wait staff at the bar and dining area were so incredible. Breakfast delivered to the room each morning was incredible The grounds were kept up impeccably, and very beautiful. There is nothing here that wasn't amazing. Will definitely stay here again.
