Golden Lion Hotel

The owner/hostess was friendly and helpful; the hotel was spotlessly clean; the pub is quaint with a nice atmosphere and the breakfast was excellent.

Liked: Cleanliness; hostess; breakfast.
Disliked: Rooms could be a bit more spacious but minor issue for one night.

Liked: The Golden Lion was delightful, the staff very helpful and friendly, made you feel at home , so relaxing , the food was excellent and nothing was too much trouble , so welcoming,
Disliked: There was nothing I didn't like.

Above and Beyond

Liked: Absolutely fantastic, We received a warm welcome with a great big smile from Caroline. Caroline could not have done more to make us feel welcome and comfortable. An example of a fantastic host. The room was cosy and well cleaned. I can see there are signs of wear and tear but nothing unreasonable. We had breakfast twice and every time it was perfect, lovely fresh ingredients and made fresh. We also had dinner and again very nice and fairly priced. I can't recommend this place enough. Nice little quiet spot great for a short stop over or a longer break away from the crazy world we live in. I will definitely be back.
Disliked: Everything was perfect, nothing to complain about.

Liked: Evening meal was very good.

Nice hotel......no one on reception.

Liked: Room, Staff, Food (breakfast and Dinner) All good.
Disliked: No one on the reception desk all the time we were there, we got the keys to the room from the staff in the pub attached to the hotel.

Liked: Last minute booking as exhausted from a long days travelling. Glad I made the decision to rest up. Excellent service, food & facilities. Bed was so comfortable
