Glynhill Hotel & Spa near Glasgow Airport

A few issues this time...

Liked: Food is very good. Most members of staff are helpful and friendly. We have stayed in this hotel several times and find the location and parking very handy.
Disliked: The window between the bed and the shower allows very little privacy when using any facilities in the bathroom! We will not stay in one of those rooms again. We were spoken to rudely when ordering at the bar, apparently customers attending the event in the main hall could not use the small residents bar. After being questioned 5 times we got tired of explaining we were residents. We hadn’t left the bar area and were dressed in jeans and sweats. Obviously not attending the rave in the other room!

Disappointing, given the chance to...

Liked: Nothing apart from swimming pool.
Disliked: I booked family room for 5 nights stay (myself, wife, 2 year old and 7 year old), we travel the world and this is by far the worst hotel we have ever stayed at for the price paid. To start with, this property doesnt have any air conditioning, for family of 4 in family room of 2 double beds, we were provided with one desk fan alone as measure of ventilation in the room, when asked repeatedly as my kids had a disturbed night sleep, I was given another desk fan (reluctantly) the following night. Staff generally had a frosty behaviour, housekeeping staff would leave 2 bath towels and 2 small towels in the room, when asked for more towels for shower, they would point blank refuse to give any. Breakfast is served untill 10 am on weekdays, we would get there around 9 am every day and for three days in a row croissants or pastries and other stuff are finished by 9 am. How can you not plan for the number of guests that have pre-booked the breakfast at the property? Property is old, half of the lights in the room didnt work, door hooks were broken. I don't think management cares at all about their guests. This whole experience was a nightmare in a nutshell after travelling for over 300 miles to visit Scotland.
