Reception & Nights staff were...

Liked: Central to local amenities, hotel staff were welcoming and attentive.Hotel is modern & has great characteristics.
Disliked: - my first room was on 4th floor, lift not working so had to carry 30kg of luggage down a flight of stairs. The lady who checked me in (I think she sounded English but I cannot remember her name) helped me with my luggage.-first room (41) I got given was the single small room which is what I booked but it was far from clean, dust everywhere (see picture of one example) and not given a detailed clean to a basic hotel standard. Again thankfully to the amazing reception staff they moved me into another room which was spotless (43).

Liked: Receptionists were always nice and helpful. Room was clean.
Disliked: The individual rooms have an AC machine on the courtyard that makes it impossible to sleep because if the noise, vibrations and old windows. The individual rooms are really old, broken furniture, dirty walls. It seems like no one checked those rooms when giving the hotel a 4-star category, because they're not even a 2-star. I cannot recommend it even they upgraded me to a better room. You never know of you will get a nice room or a horrible one.

Superb location on the peninsula...

Liked: The staff was wonderfully helpful and the location was perfect for exploring Lyon in all directions! The room was a comfortable size and was quiet. A kettle was provided upon request. I was switched to another room when the WiFi was not reaching/working in the room I was upgraded to. The hotel had a very stylish lobby.
Disliked: There were no power outlets near the bed.
