Liked: The small single room I booked was so small that I upgraded to a bigger room with very good rate. It was such a big, classic and lovely room and all staff was so friendly and above all, the location can’t be better!!
Disliked: The bathtub has poor drainage.

The Globe et Cecil met...

Liked: The location of the hotel was terrific, right next to the main plaza and within easy walking distance of the major sites and near many wonderful restaurants. The staff were helpful and accommodating. We were travelling with a large group, but the breakfast menu was comprehensive and met the needs of the entire group.

Worst hotel we stayed in...

Disliked: Everything other than location! Totally a facade! While presenting a nice clean fresh lobby, the rooms and rest of the hotel are decaying.Room smelled awful, had mildew in tiles, flaking paint, horribly creaky floors, stinky old fireplace with broken plaster, tattered curtains, old unworkable NOT soundproof double windows, stiff pillows, and pathetically caulked bathroom fixes!Plus when adding a night to reservation, they tripled the price!

Only Lyon

Liked: Great central location. Bellecour car park close by as well as public transport.
Disliked: The double windows are not very efficient against noise. But traffic is limited at night.
