Adjoining door with next room

Disliked: A very disappointing stay with my family. We booked a 2 night stay. Our room had an adjoining door to the next room. A party of women blared music into the evening while we tried to get our 1 and 3 year old to sleep and they came back after hours creating such noise that they may well have been in the same room as us. We notified reception on both instances. They notified the room to reduce the noise levels but this only had a short impact. We had a terrible night sleep and when I engaged with the duty manager Leah, the reply was they followed hotel protocol. The effort was light and not impactful. It was not helpful to my family and our experience has been awful.I would not recommend families to stay as the rooms have major issues for noise control/soundproofing. The Glenroyal hotel failed us by occupying the rooms inappropriately. My experience will forever be one which will feel like we brought our family to a 3 star hen/stag do!The hotel I'm sure will offer up the thankful feedback and learnings they can take but do they really care! No not really! Next please.
