I guess you only get...

Liked: We were a family of 2 couples and were in rooms 7 and 8. The bed linen was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The location was close to the family member who we were visiting for a birthday celebration.
Disliked: Rooms 7 and 8 at basement level were very tired and grubby and in need of a serious make over. The shared toilet was also in need of some work. My wife was the only person who used the shower as she is around five foot six, however anyone much taller than this would struggle and have to crouch down to take a shower. The saniflo system for the wc was faulty and the macerator/pump would just come on intermitently without the toilet having been flushed. This went on all through the night and disturbed the sleep of the occupants in room 8. The view from the sub ground level window in room 7 was off two bed bases that were lying on the ground that I guess were for disposal.

Liked: Location is quite good.
Disliked: The halls on way to room smelled very strongly of smoke. There was a need for repainting as lots of chips, really tatty looking and tired. I couldnt wait to get in the room away from the smell of smoke. Feels like the place needs repainted as smoke smell is in carpets or walls.

Unpleasant!

Disliked: We were stuck outside the building for thirty minutes because the door was locked. Despite our explanations, the owner wasn’t convinced and repeatedly explained the location of the key to enter our room. Eventually, they arrived, and we were able to enter. However, the room inside was too small for three people and lacked brightness and comfort. Were weren’t informed about the breakfast time or place which is included to our package so we missed it.

Disappointing

Liked: Breakfast was excellent. Staff good and helpful.
Disliked: The shower didn't work. Either nothing or scalding. Wasn't fixed and no offer of another room or refund. No information in the room about the facilities available.
