Liked: The building, interior, furniture, and art are enchanting and very well thought. The entire staff were amazing, but a special shout out goes to Angus and Laura!We enjoyed our stay to the max and this amazing time we had.

Liked: The location is brilliant - in the middle of town and easy to access. The dinner and breakfast in The Spence was spectacular. Eva and Tony were fabulous hosts.The doormen were so helpful! Richard in particular.
Disliked: However, the same menu all day was disappointing. At lunch we did not want the same as dinner and ended up going to elsewhere. I feel that a menu that offered lovely lunch sandwiches and salads would prove popular with guests. Our cosy room had very limited natural light and the windows looked straight out onto the wall. This was disappointing for a room that costs £700. I felt value for money for this room rate was off. We have stayed at the Gleneagles Hotel 10+ times and we feel we get much better value for money considering a similar room rate.
