A perfect place to stay...

Liked: Beautiful property in grounds with very helpful staff

Lovely hotel building in nice...

Liked: Breakfast was excellent and a good saving when booking the room with breakfast included.
Disliked: The shower leaked all over the floor in the bathroom, meaning we had to put towels down that were then soaking wet all over the floor. Had to put shoes on so we didn't get wet feet / socks when using the bathroom! There was a strong chemical smell when we first went into the room. As this chemical smell diminished it was replaced by a very strong smell of body odour which got considerably worse throughout our stay, I presume the chemical smell was an attempt to mask the odour. By the morning it was pretty honking! It certainly wasn't us as we'd had a shower on arrival and first thing in the morning! I'd suggest a deep clean of the room and to address the leak in the bathroom asap. It's a lovely building and in a great location. I slept reasonably well, but it would've been a lot better without those issues and it's not a cheap place to stay at, so certainly didn't expect these kind of problems. Dinner is incredibly expensive here, so i'd recommend the very short walk into Usk for some better and more reasonable options... We only stayed for 1 night. I would stay here again, but if i encountered any problems i'd make a point of raising them on arrival next time. I did mention this to staff when we left.

Liked: The cooked breakfast was very good, completely non greasy. The evening meal was very tasty, with large portions.
Disliked: There was not a buffet for the continental breakfast. I would prefer to choose my own breakfast items. I do not have a big appetite and would usually select small portions of what was available.

Liked: Brilliant location, Brilliant staff , beautiful hotel , breakfast cooked to order and was exceptional. Usk is a lovey village to visit.

Liked: Fantastic family run hotel. Spotless and beautiful rooms. Ypu felt relaxed and welcomed as soon as you stepped in the door. Will definitely visit again!

Very quiet and peaceful with...

Liked: Wonderful surroundings-very peaceful and well appointed.Everyone was very helpful and caring .The food was excellent and the beds were very comfortable
Disliked: Lift was unfortunately out of order for the 4 days we were there which made it difficult for me as I am disabled and found the stairs difficult

Great stray could have been...

Liked: The charm of the building and the quality of the food.
Disliked: Attention to detail with the cleaning and the service at breakfast didn't match the quality of food or the overall experience

Liked: Staff were very good and lovely too. Location was perfect. Short stroll into Usk.
Disliked: Nothing.
