Whether you're in town for a show or a weekend break, the riverside views and prime location make this hotel a standout choice.

Why Concert-goers love it

This hotel is a dream for gig-goers thanks to its 3-minute walk to central Inverness and direct views of Eden Court Theatre. The peaceful conservation area lets you unwind after a show without the city noise. With a 10-minute walk to the train station and easy access to the A9, getting in and out is a breeze—even after a late-night encore. Check-in starts at 16:00, and check-out is by 11:00, giving you time to sleep in and recover.

  • Groups of friends looking for a stylish base near venues
  • Solo travelers ticking off that bucket-list concert
  • Couples planning a romantic weekend with a show
  • Fans wanting a quieter, scenic place to decompress
  • Budget-conscious music lovers seeking value and atmosphere

Food and Drink Options

While the Glen Mhor doesn’t offer 24/7 room service, there’s a cozy on-site bar and restaurant where you can grab a bite or enjoy a Highland dram after your gig. Delayed breakfast after a late night isn’t officially advertised, but staff are friendly and accommodating. With Inverness city centre just minutes away, you’ll find plenty of walkable eateries and late-night spots to fuel up.

Nightlife Options

You’re in the heart of Inverness’ cultural scene. Eden Court Theatre is just across the river, often hosting live music and performances. The nearby city centre offers pubs, cocktail bars, and live music joints—ideal for keeping the party going or winding down with a drink.

What People Say

Guests love the location—close to everything but still peaceful. The river views and proximity to Eden Court are frequently praised, as is the characterful historic architecture. Many reviewers highlight the friendly staff and easy access to both the city and the Highlands.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention that rooms can vary depending on which townhouse you’re in, so it’s worth requesting a preference in advance. Also, while charming, the older buildings may lack some modern touches. Wi-Fi can be patchy in certain areas.

The Bottom Line

For anyone coming to Inverness for a concert or cultural event, Glen Mhor Hotel offers historic charm, river views, and unbeatable proximity to top venues—all in one beautifully walkable package.

Superb

Liked: Very nice hotel rooms. Bathroom was nice. Everything was very solid. One of the better rooms we got in Scotland! Breakfast was solid.
Disliked: The buildings are spread out. There are no elevators so if you are on the second floor. Expect to carry your bags. Also our room wasn't ready at 4:00. (Only had to wait 20 minutes). But nevertheless 4 pm is a late check in time.

Good location

Liked: Very good location on the river Ness. Slightly farther out from the direct city centre, which is nice as it is away from the crowds. If you walk along the river out of the city there are many trails to explore and it was perfect for a runner like me. Very comfortable beds, nice to have a brewery right downstairs. Beer is good and the scotch will eventually be good (I hope!).
Disliked: Bathroom was not that clean and room was a little warm with blankets that are too heavy (visited in the summer and had the windows open). The toilet flush/cistern made a really loud sound with the pipes when we used it but it seems like it was flushing fine.
