Lovely room shame about the...
Liked: The room was lovely and the bathroom amazing with walk-in rainfall shower very easy to use. Room was very clean. Staff in the restaurant were very friendly and attentive
Disliked: We were sent to room 60 which we struggled to find initially as it was through a door that said ?staff only?. We went from a carpeted corridor down stairs to a laminate floor we felt as if we were in the staff quarters. However the room was beautiful. Obviously recently refurbished the bathroom was amazing with huge walk-in rainfall shower. The bedroom was well decorated and bed comfortable, however as it was a ground floor room we had to keep the curtains closed all the time as we were next to the function room so vans and cars were constantly parked next to our window and people could see straight into the room and all our belongings. To get to the bar and restaurant we have 63 stairs to climb and with me having arthritis in my knees and hips this wasn?t ideal. The hotel is well decorated and staff friendly but we felt all the communal rooms were very cold so we spent more time in our room than the bar area which is a shame.

Nice hotel other than breakfast
Liked: Room was lovely. Bed comfy and shower good. We had a little patio too but didn't use as weather not great.Spa was amazing and the facilities were great. Not too busy due to social distancing requirements which was nice.
Disliked: The breakfast buffet was pretty poor. We had breakfast at 8.30am (30 minutes after breakfast opened) and all of the 'hot food' was freezing. Continental breakfast options very basic. The table decor at dinner in restaurant was a little green plant/flower sitting in a clear bowl of dirty brown gunge/water and looked like it was dead/dying. A little off-putting when eating your dinner. The window sills were also covered in dead flies.

Liked: Stunning to look at and beautiful surroundings. Great family room and brilliant swimming pool.
Disliked: The wait to be seated for breakfast in the morning and the wait for breakfast was long especially with children.

The perfect relaxing retreat!
Liked: An excellent stay at Gleddoch. My third stay here and it didn?t disappoint. We particularly enjoyed the spa as it added an element of luxury and relaxation to the stay. Would recommend booking your time slot in advance to avoid disappointment on the day. The views overlooking the infinity pool were lovely!

Disliked: At Breakfast we waited to be seated which was fine but when we were we weren?t asked wether we wanted tea coffee or toast. Once seated we went to get breakfast, trays were all mostly empty and what was left was on poor condition. We had to ask one of the staff for toast and coffee, this took ages meanwhile my wife was waiting to eat as she likes toast with her beans. A gentleman from another table that was seated after us stood up and complained about their toast and coffee not being there so they gave them my toast and coffee. By the time ours arrived my wife?s food was freezing to make this worse the toast wasn?t even warm. I really like the Gleddoch and have visited several times recently, for the most part the staff are always really helpful, the hotel and facilities are great but this trip was really let down by the horrible breakfast experience.
