Pleasant for quick stay -...

Liked: Pros:1. Huge hostel, well laid out.2. Massive Lounge & Kitchen, very well organized3. Super Helpful Staff4. Near to Bus & Train station - a max 10 min Uber ride or 20 min Walking5. Near to Pubs, Restaurants & Convenience store.6. Reasonably fast WIFI
Disliked: 1. They don't have a lift, so if you have heavy baggages, and your room is at top floor, you need to haul them up.2. No bed side charging point - there is only one charging point for the whole room - this is a very basic requirement and almost all hostels (even few of the hosteling Scotland) have this - not sure why they don't have this.3. Beds are ok but not that comfortable.

Bright and comfy.

Liked: The location was bright and comfortable, staff were friendly, polite and helpful.
Disliked: I couldn't turn down the temperature on the shower. It was so hot that I had to get out and rinse myself off with water from the sink.

Great stay, lovely staff and...

Liked: It was a wonderful hostel, warm, spacious and great lighting. I like that there were lockers in your room (you must take your own padlock), and the shower and toilet were in separate rooms. There were also hooks and hangers to hang your coats.
Disliked: The mattress was very springy so not the best, but still managed to sleep. Also only an extension cord in one part of the room I was sleeping in. Not enough ports for a room of six but we all got by.

Disliked: Location is not very ideal, quite far from railway station, bus station and airport.

Given the opportunity, I will...

Liked: I found the hostel easy to locate from Glasgow Central Station. For a first time traveller, I was impressed and relieved. The location also allows seamless access to nearby places like the Glasgow University which I also had to go to. An 8 minute walk was all it took to get me to the university, saving me a few pounds on transport. I also appreciated the information I received from the reception about nearest shops and restaurants, it came in handy as I needed to buy food on my first day. Well, I must say the beds are quite comfortable and I slept so peacefully. The rooms are spacious and clean and there was enough room for all of us sharing the space. My only wish is to get a room in the first floor next time I come. I have physical challenges (Knee problems) and having to go up to the third floor was a huge challenge but manageable. All in all, I loved my time at the Youth Hostel.
Disliked: The steps...not that I did not like them, I live with a physical challenge which makes steps very uncomfortable for me.
