Hotel is up to a decent standard; not too far from city centre with a regular bus route outside. Plenty of shop and restaurants nearby as well and opposite the Botanic Gardens.

Liked: Decent standard of hotel; nice room. Good, firm bed.
Disliked: A section of marble panel on the front steps had come loose and was just lying there on a step. By day 3, it was lying at an angle against the bottom step. Could have represented a fall or trip hazard in what was firstly icy, then rainy weather. Just thought it strange that staff didn't at least remove this loose bit over the days.

Great location but spoilt by...

Liked: Location was great.
Disliked: Getting woken up at 5:00am by the Waitrose Lorries unloading. Water so hot it took the skin off your body.

Perfect hotel stay for Graduation...

Liked: Great rooms, great location for the University area, parking good and convenient. The hotel called us on the afternoon of our arrival to discuss an issue in the hotel (it turned out to be a leak in a room), clearly and courteously. In the end there was no drama and we ended up in better rooms, and everything was handled smoothly and professionally.
Disliked: Only one suggestion, for the breakfast staff to take a tea/coffee order and bring it to table while we got the food from the buffet breakfast (hot food).

One night stay

Liked: Reception staff and management were very efficient and friendly.Room was fantastic.Location perfect.
Disliked: We were slightly early to check in so went for a drink in the bar. The bar was quiet and we were not served or even acknowledged. This created a negative initial impression of the hotel. A quick 'I'll be with you when I can' would have solved this.
