Not perfect, but still pretty...
Liked: Loved the character and decor! The location is pretty good too. Lots of good restaurants near by.
Disliked: Our toilet didn’t work great. Kept running so you had to fiddle with it each time to get it to refill for the next flush. The window blind apparently had a remote for it but we never found it and it can’t be pulled down manually. No one told us about the remote until check out but I’m almost certain it was missing anyways. Otherwise, this was a great spot to stay.

Disliked: The hotel is a bit pricey and the room is on the smaller side.

The neighborhood is transitioning to...
Liked: The architecture, decor, themes for each floor in the common areas, bar and food. The staff was friendly and cheerful.
Disliked: The room size for the price was not a good value. The neighborhood has extensive graffiti and the location is next to the metro line with homeless people sleeping next to the hotel property.

We loved it! This hotel...
Liked: We loved it! This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way possible. We were down for a concert at Budweiser Stage and it's location is great (we walked to and from the venue) and there is so much going on on Queen St West that you couldn't possibly be bored or disappointed with the area. The atmosphere and vibe of the hotel is trendy and a little funky. Loved the artwork on display (it seems they have a rotating gallery of artists come through which is a really nice touch). Staff were super friendly and helpful. The room is described to be on the smaller side but we actually found it to be fairly large and very comfortable (compared to other small boutique hotels we have stayed at), was clean and the bed was so comfortable. We also LOVED the price point of the hotel. Given how expensive staying in Toronto has become, it was a surprise to find this gem of a place to stay since we were able to be at a fun boutique hotel in a fabulous area of the city and still stay within budget (especially since a very similar hotel *ahem - a block away* which we also love is almost double the price). My only regret is we were just down for one night so I didn't get to fully take in all the hotel had to offer (restaurant, bar, library and more!) but I will certainly be coming back to stay here often. Do yourself a favour and book a room here...you will not be disappointed!
